We Found The Shipwreck In Coronado!

Yesterday as I was scrolling through Instagram I a friends pic of a shipwreck that shows up on the beach in Coronado once in a while when there is a storm, low tide and the conditions are just right. Below is NOT his picture but a pic of how it can look when it is exposed perfectly. Below that are MY PICTURES.

In 1932 the concrete ship was turned from an oil tanker to a ship for prostitution, gambling and drinking as it was in the middle of the prohibition era. In 1937 it was anchored 3 miles off the Coronado coast in international waters when a big New Year's day storm had the ship lose it's anchor and drift to the Coronado beach shore.

In February of 2016 El NiƱo and high surf exposed the 300-foot gambling ship that washed ashore in 1937.
