Last week a volcano erupted on the island of Stromboli, off the coast of Southern Italy. Somebody on a sailboat actually captured the exact moment it erupts on video! First you can see a thin line of white smoke on the mountain and then a huge explosion of black volcanic ash begins shooting into the air! I love nature and it's beautiful to see the power of it from afar. This video is especially awesome with the ocean and the bow of the ship in the lower frame of the video, but tragically a hiker on the mountain was killed and two people were injured.
