Matt Damon Facing Criticism Over Weezer SNL Skit

In a sketch that's taken the Internet by storm, "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend took a shot at Weezer, when host Matt Damon argued the merits of the group with neighbors at a holiday dinner party.

Serving as his foil was cast member Leslie Jones, who claimed the band hadn't released a good album in 20 years. Among those who found the segment funny were none other than the members of Weezer. Frontman Rivers Cuomo tweeted, "I'm actually crying," while drummer Patrick Wilson added, "Go Matt Damon!" 

Weezer, which scored a hit earlier this year with its cover of "Africa," is currently putting the final touches on "The Black Album." It's due March 1st.
